Mullvad will block internet if it somehow disconnects and (would) start leaking your real ip (webrtc not included). There’s also lockdown mode which requires a vpn connection to get online.
An automation shortcut is probably possible. I’m not too good a creating them, but they pretty detailed now.
Yes but these features appear absent on the iOS client.
As far as I remember, Mullvad relies on an iOS feature to manage automatic reconnection. Since two versions of iOS, I’ve never had a disconnection from Mullvad. There’s no possibility of managing this VPN via a shortcut or otherwise. It’s iOS… (which, in parentheses, bypasses any VPN for certain network connections). Proton seems to do things differently, but I’m not sure how reliable that is.
Maybe Mullvad could create special shortcuts.
